Korea is a country located in east Asia, in between China and Japan, which has five thousand years of history. People who visit Korea can enjoy touring various interesting places with historical background and natural beauty.
Following east coast, travelers may enjoy natural beauty and many historic sites of Korea. At first, Surak mountain located 80 miles east of Seoul, is often visited by people year round for its natural beauty. Each visit of different season will be a new experience, with water falls formed streams along valleys of the mountains and breathtaking views of snow covered mountains in winter and failge in autumn and etc. If you continue to go down further following the coastal line, you will meet "Haeinsa" temple, where buddhist scriptures were carved in 80,000 wooden blocks 800 years ago are kept. Travelers may wonder with many small dunes along the streets; these are the tombs of ancient kings and member of royal families of Silla Kingdom. When you visit Kyungju, you would probably well off taking one extra day to make a trip to "Hawhe" village located 20 miles north of Kyungju, where time was frozen going back to 500 years ago. This village has many houses of aristocrats which you have seen in historical K-drama called "Saguk" especially for the period of Yi Dynasty.
Another historic place which travelers may find interesting would be the capital of Korea; Seoul, Seoul has been capital of Korea since the beginning of Yi dynasty, which was established 600 years ago. People who visit Korea will be intrigued by the old blended with the new. People would find historic places in the middle of high rise apartment buildings. Korea also has four distinct seasons; spring, summer, fall and winter. Particularly, fall accompany with wonderful blue sky and pleasant temperature. Ancient people painted pottery ater the color of the blue sky which modern technology can not imitate. Unusally, many people visit to Korea to enjoy beautiful weather and taste of old intermixed with new harmoniously. People would walk on busy streets of Seoul among high rise modern shopping centers, shops and old building next to one another. Seoul has many palaces where Yi Dynasty Kings and their families used to live. These are now used as parks and museums for public. Also in Seoul, there are streets where hops are selling antique furniture and potteries. "Insadong" street in downtown Seoul is famous for collectors attraction selling artifacts dating as old as hive hundred years. In Insadong, exhibitions of art works are routinely held with free of admission fees.
Travelers may find Seould to be paradise of shopping opportunities and gourmet restaurants. Travelers would have variety of choices for different meals for many months starting from pizza to authentic Korean dishes.
Korea has four distinct seasons, and fall is the best with pleasant temperature as well as with breathtaking view of blue sky. Ancient people made potteries and painted after the color of the sky producing world reknown potteries; Koryo blue porcelain.
Usually many travelers who once visited Korea may find themselves walking down streets of Seoul again and again for its vivrancy that never ceases because they know one visit will never quinch their thirst for uniquness of Korea that hey have experienced.
